Debit Cards
Both ATM cards and VISA debit cards are available at American Bank. The ATM card
allows you access to your money at ATMs (automated teller machines) across the world, 24 hours a day.
You may withdraw funds, deposit funds, transfer funds or simply inquire about your balance with this
card.
In addition to the ATM card benefits, the VISA CheckCard goes one step further. It allows you to make
purchases at merchants all over the world. Instead of receiving a monthly bill, the charges are deducted
from your checking account at the time of purchase. No need to bother writing a check!
A simple application is all that is required for each of these cards. Stop in or call any of our
locations for information.
Credit Cards
Credit cards – We offer a variety of credit cards through our affiliate,
Elan financial services. You make the choice based on your usage of the card. If you pay your balance in
full most of the time, you may want the free “No Annual Fee” card. If you usually carry a
balance, you may be interested in the “Low Interest Rate” card. If you use your card for
large purchases, the gold “Preferred” card may be for you. Just stop in or call any of our
offices to pick up an application or to have an application mailed to you.
