We may also revise & amend the T&C. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of the T&C, the following terms shall have the following meaning:
“AMB” or “us” or “we” refers to AM Bank SAL (Bank Number 101 in the List of Banks at the Central Bank of Lebanon).
“User" or “you” refers to the user or viewer of this Site.
“User Content” shall mean material including without limitation; your personal information, information related to User’s Site Account, transactions, instructions, content, text, messages, images, photographs, drawings, descriptions, audio material, video material, audio-visual material or other information that you may, for whatever purpose, post, upload, submit, email, transmit or otherwise make available to & through the Site &/or to AMB, alone or as part of other works in any form, media or technology whether currently known or hereafter developed. You shall be solely responsible for all User Content including their correctness & accuracy.
“User’s Site Account” shall mean the account that is held by User on the Site. The account is personalized & each User can access the account individually through a username & password.
“Site Content” shall mean all the content used in connection with, incorporated or contained in or presented through the Site, including without limitation: information, services, products, data, text, files, images, graphics, graphical user interface, videos, sounds, audio works, works of authorship, applications, forms, diagrams, software, computer codes, animation files, & their arrangement & any other materials or content found on the Site.
WHILE USING THE SITE
- You declare that you are at least 18 years old.
- You shall provide correct & lawful User Content which does not infringe any third party's legal rights.
- We can edit or remove any of your User Content though we do not undertake to monitor all your User Content.
- You acknowledge & consent that we may disclose any of your User Content in compliance with the law &/or to protect you against fraud.
USER’S AUTHORIZED USAGE OF THE SITE
- You commit to only use the Site in a lawful & goodwill manner.
- You choose the services & products that best meet your requirements.
- For safety/development measures access to certain areas of the Site or to the entire Site may be restricted.
- Certain sections of this Site relating to online transactions ("E-Banking") may be accessed only by Users who have agreed to be bound by the applicable E-Banking terms & to whom a personal access username & password have been issued.
- Users may download the AM Bank SAL mobile application which is also bound by terms & conditions & by provisions determined by AMB.
User agrees that it shall not, directly or indirectly, under any circumstance & through whichever means, perform any of the following actions:
- Republish, sell, rent, lease, transfer, recirculate, redistribute, edit or otherwise modify the Site Content or make available or otherwise provide access to the Site for any third party, or any portion thereof or data thereon.
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, photocopy, print, display or otherwise exploit all or any part of the Site, for commercial purposes & for non-commercial purposes whether electronically, mechanically or otherwise, in any form & for any reason whatsoever.
- Translate, transmit, distribute, reduce to any electronic medium or machine-readable form, or otherwise make available in any form or by any means all or any part of the Site, the Site Content or any information or materials retrieved from the Site, including, without limitation, graphics & logos, in whole or in part, for any purpose whatsoever.
- Conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities (including without limitation scraping, data mining, data extraction & data harvesting) on or in relation to the Site without AMB's prior express written consent.
- Use the Site or any business listings, or other content, to promote another business or commercial venture.
- Create compilations or derivative works of the Site or the Site Content.
- Use the Site for the benefit of any third party except as specifically contemplated under the T&C.
- Alter, decompile or reverse engineer any software component of the Site.
- Use the Site to post, upload, transmit, convey, submit, distribute, store, destroy or link to any User Content: (a) that contains any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancel bots or other computer programming routines that are intended to interrupt, damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, or data or personal information; (b) that is false, misleading or inaccurate in any way; or (c) in violation of any acceptable use policy or other policy posted at the Site from time to time.
- Interfere with, damage, disable, disrupt, impair or gain unauthorized access to the Site including AMB’s servers & networks.
- Send or cause to send unsolicited bulk messages (also known as "spamming") or other unsolicited bulk communications of any kind or chain letters through the Site.
- Use the Site in any way which is unlawful, illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent or harmful, invasive of another's privacy & rights, tortious, or otherwise violates AMB's rules or policies or in connection with any such purpose or activity.
- Use the Site Content or any other materials from the Site in any manner that may infringe upon any copyright, intellectual property right, proprietary right, property right, patent, trademark, trade secret, privacy or any other rights, of AMB or any third party.
- Use the Site &/or any communications service, chat room, message board, blog, forum, newsgroup, or other interactive service that may be available to User on or through the Site to transmit, upload, post, distribute or facilitate distribution of, or otherwise make available any information or content, including text, communications, software, images, sounds, data or other information, that: (1) is false, or (2) contains explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of sexual acts, including, without limitation, sexual language of a violent or threatening nature directed at another individual or group of individuals, or (3) includes any inside information &/or proprietary or confidential information learned or disclosed under nondisclosure agreements, or (4) User is restricted from using under any law, or (5) contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs that are designed or intended to disrupt, damage, or limit the functions of any software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment or to damage or obtain unauthorized access to any data or other information of any other party.
- Attempt, facilitate or encourage others to do any of the foregoing.
AMB reserves the right to remove your User Content which violates the T&C & take any action that AMB deems appropriate. Unauthorized use of this Site may give rise to a claim for damages &/or be a criminal offence.
THIRD PARTY CONTENT
We are not liable towards any party in relation to the correctness or accuracy of any third party content which the Site may contain &/or provide access to.

- Links from or to websites outside the Site are meant for convenience only. We do not endorse, approve or control, & are not responsible for any websites linked from or to the Site, the availability & content of those websites, the third parties named therein, or their products & services. When User engages with a third party website, User is at his own risk interacting with the third party, not with AM Bank SAL. Therefore User should review the terms & conditions & the privacy policy of such websites.
- You are responsible to take any protective measures to guard against viruses & other destructive elements.
AMB RECORDS
- User acknowledges & consents that AMB's records & any records of instructions, communication, & operation relating to User’s access & usage of the Site & any record of any of User’s instruction, communication, & operation received by AMB or by any relevant person authorized by AMB relating to or connected with the Site shall be binding & conclusive on User for all purposes whatsoever & shall be conclusive evidence of the transactions, instructions, communication, & operation as though such instructions, communication, & operation, were written documents.
- User hereby agrees that all such records are admissible in evidence & that User shall not challenge or dispute the validity, admissibility, reliability, accuracy or the authenticity of the contents of such records merely on the basis that such records were incorporated &/or set out in electronic form or were produced by or are the output of a computer system, & hereby waives all of User’s rights (if any) to so object. User hereby waives any such right User may have at law.
- Submitting the correct username & password of User’s Site Account shall constitute sufficient proof of the authenticity of any instructions resulting. AMB is under no obligation to verify the identity or the authority of the person submitting such information & data.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
- User irrevocably consents to AMB’s disclosure to any third party, of any information pertaining to User, User’s Site Account, transactions’ details, & records in any manner & to such extent as AMB may at its sole & absolute discretion deem fit in order to fulfill AMB’s obligations hereunder &/or in compliance with the law or with the order of any court or government or regulatory authority according to all the applicable Lebanese Laws. Thereby User irrevocably releases AMB from the banking secrecy obligation in regards to the provisions of the T&C.
- User acknowledges & agrees that AMB does not warrant the security of the information transmitted using the Site & User hereby accepts the risk that any information transmitted or received using the Site may be accessed by unauthorized third parties.
LIABILITY
- You are responsible for the non-disclosure of your username & password.
- Upon becoming aware of, or if User suspects, a technical failure or any improper access to or use of the Site or of User’s username & password by any person, User shall promptly notify AMB of such occurrence by contacting our Customer Care Unit on 1210. Any loss or damage resulting from the unauthorized use of your username & password prior to the date of our notification shall be borne solely by you.
- You are prohibited from using another User’s username & password & accessing another User’s Site Account.
- You irrevocably agree & confirm that we &/or our affiliated companies shall in no event be liable to you or any third party for any claims, losses, damages, costs & expenses of whatever nature (legal or otherwise including all lawyers’ fees) & howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, breach of statutory duty or any other basis, including without limitation, direct or indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, consequential or punitive damages, or business, profit or data or savings losses, incurred by User & howsoever caused whether directly or indirectly in connection with the T&C, the Site, any access or usage of the Site, or your reliance on or use or inability to use the information, materials, products & services on the Site including but not limited to the following circumstances, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such losses & damages;
- AMB enforcing its rights according to the T&C.
- Your access or use or the inability to access or use the Site (or any third party link to or from the Site) for whatever reason.
- If you are not receiving communication from us including the cases when you change your mobile number & fail to inform us &/or you change your address & fail to inform us, & all other cases when it is clearly understood that you committed a default in notification towards us.
- Your disclosure of any information according to the T&C.
- Any instruction, communication or operation made by you, or purportedly made by you & referable to a compromised username & password of User’s Site Account, & which was processed by us prior to or at the time of such cancellation, or which we were unable to stop the processing of.
- Any failure by us to carry out any instruction referable to a compromised username & password of User’s Site Account, which was outstanding as at the time we cancel such compromised username & password of User’s Site Account, &/or which we had stopped the processing of.
- Your reliance on the information contained on the Site.
- Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained in connection with the Site.
- Any technical, hardware, software, telecommunications, server or connection failure of any kind.
- Any loss or corruption of any data, database or software.
- Any interruption, error, omission, delay in operation, computer viruses, or otherwise.
- Any circumstance suffered by User as a result of any prohibition, restriction, delay in use or access of the Site due to any Lebanese regulation or any other country regulation.
- Any error(s) in transmission of instructions that might have been transmitted through the Site or transmission by AMB of any other data or information through the Site.
- This exclusion of liability shall take effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- You acknowledge that AMB accepts no liability & offers no guarantee for security of information on the Internet.
- You acknowledge that AMB accepts no liability & offers no guarantee for the completeness or correctness or accuracy of the information communicated between the User and AMB through the Site.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
- Unless otherwise stated, AMB &/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the Site & in the Site Content.
- Site Content is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret & other laws. All intellectual property rights are reserved.
- User acknowledges & agrees that User is only permitted to use the Site Content as expressly & explicitly authorized by AMB.
- It is AMB's policy, in appropriate circumstances & at its full discretion, to disable &/or terminate the User’s Site Accounts of those Users who may infringe or repeatedly infringe the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of AMB &/or others.

- User has the sole responsibility for adequate protection & back up of data &/or equipment & for undertaking reasonable & appropriate precautions to scan for computer viruses or other destructive properties.

INDEMNITY
User hereby agrees to indemnify & undertakes to keep indemnified AMB, its employees, officers, affiliated companies & subcontractors & their respective officers, agents, partners & employees, from & against all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, costs, & expenses, including without limitation legal expenses, attorneys' fees, & any amounts paid by AMB to a third party in settlement of a claim or dispute, on a full indemnity basis, that may be incurred or suffered by AMB in connection with or arising from (1) User’s use or misuse of the Site & the services provided herein, or (2) User’s breach of the T&C howsoever occasioned, or (3) any claim that User committed a breach to the T&C, or (4) any intellectual property right or proprietary right infringement claim made by a third party against AMB in connection with User’s access & use of the Site, or (5) any of User Content that was posted or otherwise submitted on, through or in connection with the Site.
BREACH OF THE T&C
- In addition to the foregoing, and in the event that AMB determines, at its sole & absolute discretion, that User has breached the T&C, threatened to breach the T&C, committed any fraud or deception, breached any AMB policy in effect from time to time or otherwise failed to perform to the standards required of AMB, AMB shall be entitled, at its discretion & in addition to any other remedies it may have hereunder &/or at law, to take such action as AMB deems appropriate, including but not limited to: terminate, cancel or suspend User’s access to the Site, in each of the foregoing cases, at any time & for any period of time, &/or to bring court proceedings against User.
- AMB shall not be responsible for the return of any of User Content of any kind to User upon any termination or cancellation or suspension of User’s access to the Site, including without limitation any information input into the Site by User.
TERMINATION OF ACCESS &/OR USE OF THE SITE
- User acknowledges that AMB shall be entitled, in its absolute discretion, at any time, & without prior notice & for any reason whatsoever, to suspend, restrict &/or terminate User’s access &/or use of the Site. For example & without limitation, AMB may perform any of the mentioned actions at the occurrence of any of the below circumstances:
- If User violates any of the T&C or the terms & conditions of any agreement &/or document signed at AMB &/or with AMB.
- Any misrepresentation of information by User to AMB.
- User committing any fraudulent conduct which constitutes fraud or which causes damages or losses to AMB.
- Any termination of the access & usage of the Site (howsoever occasioned) shall not affect any accrued rights or liabilities of either parties nor shall it affect the coming into force or the continuance in force of any provision hereof which is expressly or by implication intended to come into or continue in force on or after such termination. Without prejudice to the generality of the aforesaid, the obligations under clauses: Links, AMB Records, Disclosure of Information, Liability, Intellectual Property Rights, Disclaimer, & Indemnity shall survive the termination of the T&C.
ASSIGNMENT
- AMB may transfer, sub-contract or otherwise deal with AMB's rights &/or obligations under these T&C without notifying User or obtaining User’s consent.
- User may not transfer, sub-contract or otherwise deal with User’s rights &/or obligations under these T&C.
SEVERABILITY
- If any provision of the T&C is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law or any court order or other competent authority, then the invalid & unenforceable provision shall be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision & the remainder of the other provisions of the T&C shall continue in full force & effect or, at AMB’s sole discretion, such provision may be severed from this Agreement & the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force & effect
- Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement including your access & use of this Site are subject to the Lebanese laws.
AGREEMENT
The T&C is an integral part of all other contracts & documents that User may have signed & may sign with & at AMB including but not limited to the General Agreement.
