AL-MAWARID Bank S.A.L. celebrates annual achievements during corporate lunch
Minister Kheireddine: “the bank’s business and expansion plans are on track”
Beirut, December 2012: In celebration of its 2011 achievements, AL-MAWARID Bank - one of the fastest growing banks in Lebanon - held its annual lunch at the Phoenicia Hotel Ballroom, gathering its high management, key decision makers and employees.
In his welcome note, AL-MAWARID’s Chairman and General Manager his Excellency Mr. Marwan Kheireddine, welcomed the bank’s newly elected Board, highly praised by the latter for “the expertise, moral and social standings of its members, namely Banque du Liban’s former vice governor Mr. Majid Jumblat, former minister Mr. Ibrahim Al Daher, Mr. Omar Al Jundi, Mr. Edmond Jreissati and Mr. Wassim Khaireddine”.
Minister Kheireddine also tackled in his speech the global economic crisis and the regional turmoil, highlighting Lebanon’s stable financial status sustained by wise governmental policies. In this line, the Chairman and General Manager underlined AL-MAWARID’s robust performance, highlighting some of the bank’s main achievements for 2011.
Minister Kheireddine said: “On a strategic level, AL-MAWARID achieved its 2011 business objectives according to its preset annual operating plan. We have also marked a new milestone in the expansion of our local network by adding a new branch in Cola. On a retail level, AL-MAWARID has successfully transformed several of its products and reintroduced them to meet its clients’ most exigent needs”.
Minister Kheireddine added: “The outstanding results witnessed in 2011 by AL-MAWARID were the fruit of synergy and solidarity; endless efforts and valued time have been invested by all our team members. I stand thankful and grateful to all the hard work and the dedication you have demonstrated. It is you, who made our success and accomplishments possible”.
Furthermore, AL-MAWARID’s Chairman and General Manager glanced at the bank’s future plans announcing the opening of two new branches in Jounieh, planned for January 2012, and Saifi, scheduled for 2012.
The annual AL-MAWARID lunch closed with an award distribution ceremony, meant at recognizing and rewarding top performers at the bank, followed by the cutting of the ceremonial cake.
